How To Dehydrate Eggs

When it comes to dehydration it can be cumbersome. Have no fear, we created a Step-By-Step tutorial to make dehydrating eggs simple and easy.

Food For Thought:

  • 6 Eggs Per Tray
  • Use Fruit Leather Trays
  • Beat Eggs Well
  • Dehydration Time 10-14 Hours
    The Dryer The Better
Food Processor Works Great For Creating Egg Sand
Clean Everything Thoroughly At The End Since You Are Handling Raw Eggs

STEP 1:

Beat 6 eggs thoroughly.

STEP 2:

Carefully pour eggs onto your fruit leather trays.

STEP 3:

Dehydrate for 10-14 hours, eggs should crumble and have zero flexibility.

STEP 4:

Allow eggs to cool on a plate. We find paper plates work best. Especially when using that plate as a funnel after the eggs have cooled to put into our food processor.

STEP 5:

Process eggs for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Eggs should be the consistency of fine sand.

STEP 6:

Put eggs back on your plate and allow to aerate and double check they are cooled before going into your storage containers.

STEP 7:

Storing eggs in a vac sealed container is a great option! Here is what we did, each package got 3TBSP of egg powder which equals 3 eggs and those will go into our Homemade MRE’s . (Learn how to re-constitute dehydrated eggs below)

STEP 8:

Storing the eggs you have a few different options, and choosing them is simple depending on how fast you plan to consume them. If you store them in a vac sealed container and in the freezer it will last up to 10 years! If you store them in a vac sealed container in a cool storage area you’re looking at about 5-10 years of storage time. Once the package of dehydrated eggs are opened contents should be consumed in 1-4 weeks for safety.

HOW TO REHYDRATE EGGS:

This is a simple process of 1TBSP of egg powder to 2TBSP of water. Wait 3-5 minutes to allow proper soakage, stir well and cook the same way you would a normal egg.

Venison Stew (Slow Cooker Recipe)

Quick … Easy … Affordable… And If You Have Meat In The Freezer From White Tail Season Then You’re In Luck Meat’s FREE!

This is one of my favorite meals to make in the slow cooker. It takes only 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW. I prefer the low setting to ensure tender juicy meat that separates in your mouth. To a amature and even some novices, cooking Venison can be intimidating and the results can turn quickly into a dry hard to chew piece of meat. So, fail safe way to impress friends? Use a slow cooker, follow these directions, have fun, kick back after the slow cooker is loaded and enjoy the fulfilling smells that will travel through your home.

Cook Time: 8 HR Low / 4 HR High
